2) Classification of polyurethane resins
Polyurethane resins can be divided into various types, such as hard foam, soft foam, elastomer, and coating, according to their hardness, shape, foaming degree and other characteristics.

 

3)Preparation method of polyurethane resin
The preparation of polyurethane resin mainly adopts foaming processes such as one-step method and semi-prepolymerization method.


1. One-step method: The one-step method is to mix the raw materials such as polyether polyol, isocyanate and foaming agent at one time, and then foam them. This method has the advantages of high production efficiency and low cost, but the foaming uniformity is relatively poor.


2. Semi-prepolymerization method: The semi-prepolymerization method is to react polyether polyol with isocyanate to generate prepolymer, and then mix the prepolymer with the remaining polyether polyol, foaming agent and other raw materials for foaming. This method has good foaming uniformity, but low production efficiency.

 

4) Market prospects of polyurethane resins
It is reported that the current hot spots of polyurethane resin research are mainly concentrated on the development of new polyurethane materials, the modification of polyurethane materials, and the recycling of waste polyurethane.
