New Cationic Iodonium Salt Photoinitiator
Uyracure-290 is a new cationic iodonium salt photoinitiator that can be used for cationic curing of epoxy, oxetane and vinyl ether formulations. It has the characteristics of excellent non-yellowing, extremely low mobility, no benzene release after curing, and excellent curing performance. Photolysis of diaryliodonium salts can cause homolysis and heterolysis at the same time, producing both super strong acid and active freedom base. Therefore, in addition to initiating cationic photopolymerization, iodonium salts can also initiate free radical polymerization at the same time. Very suitable for high-performance cationic curing varnishes and colored systems with high environmental requirements.
This type of photoinitiator is widely used in a variety of applications, including the preparation of polymers, coatings, printing inks, rubber products, etc., as well as light-sensitive applications in medicine, electronics, and other fields. Cationic iodonium salt photoinitiators are highly chemically active and selective, making them one of the important tools in the field of photochemistry.
